2 men sentenced to 17 years in prison for stealing Gov, Aregbesola's phone


2 silly men have been slammed with a total 17 year jail sentence after they were found guilt of stealing, impersonation and conspiracy.
         The crooks, Babatunde Ogunjobi, 33, and Abdulgafar Yusuf, 39, were sentenced to 10 and 7 years in prsion respectively for stealing Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola’s cell phone and perpetrating fraud with it. Aregbesola's Sony Ericsson phone was stolen by Yusuf, who was a prison warder at the time, on        Nov. 27, 2010 at Technical College sports ground in Osogbo.
      According to Mr Dapo Adeniji, the Director of prosecution(DPP) at the Osogbo High court,Yusuf connived with babtunde to defraud one Mr Shenge Rahman of N200,000 on May 24, 2011.They also defrauded the Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, of N500,000 on June 3, 2011with the stolen phone whose number is 08039404966, claiming to be the Governor of Osun.They were apprehended with the help of the state's police.
